APOCALYPTIC DREAMS

Dreaming of the end of the world is a common theme,
Representing a complete upheaval or shift in consciousness;
The end of an old way of thinking or being and a ‘death’ of what was.
Although it may seem really scary at the time, it is actually a positive image;
Denoting the need and readiness of your psyche and soul to let go of the old and create a new paradigm.
These types of dreams actually started my journey into dreamwork…
And last night I had another:
.
.
.
The earth has changed its axis (symbolic of a shift in perspective) and was kind of swinging like a pendulum, which reminded me of the Tao.
I was in a space with lots of people, many of them being people I’ve known in the past, including family members.
I called everyone around a fire and we were seated/lying in two concentric circles around it.
I was trying to lead everyone in moments of gratitude for all of the things from this life and world;
Nature, family, lessons, growth from relationship with other humans…
But a lot of the people were chatting and distracted, which I was amazed at because this is the time when it’s all going to end!
I asked to be held by someone I don't know, "as if I was family".
.
.
This dream shows me (and it’s true in waking life) I am going through big transformations and shifts in perspective.
And it’s a time to not give gratitude to all the lessons and learnings from the past phase, not feel shame or guilt.
It’s also a gentle reminder to be in gratitude for all the beautiful things around us at all times.
To remember we are all family, even those we may think we don’t know or like.
To call back the parts of myself that prefer to dawdle and distract life away,
And instead live in a state of presence and awe at the life we are all living.
