I am walking between pools of water at a treatment station...

A big mass of water comes and sweeps me into a big pool; I am immersed in rampant waters.

Huge waves keep forming and I must hold my breath and try to swim under them. I come up and take a gasp of air before I must hold it again for the next one.

I sense the water has an intelligence about it,

And I have the thought that maybe I can control it.

So I shout 'STOP' and use my hands as if stopping the waves with energy, Willing a sense of calmness

The water quietens down and I am taken up on a final wave. I ask it to drop me down outside the pool, which it does. ---------------

Growing up by the ocean and spending my days surfing or swimming, I have many dreams about waves and the sea.

Sometimes the water seems to be against me, Crashing down again and again with no time for rest.

The ocean can be a symbol of the unconscious and our deep emotions

Often threatening our sense of self and life as we know it.

We can feel like were pushing against the tide; That our emotions or fears will swallow us up

And that the only way forwards is to hold our breath,

dive under and hope for the best.

This dream showed me that we have control.

The water was alive and feeling.

It knew what it was doing..

It was waiting for me to tell it what to do;

To use my will power and choose to change the situation.

The coming of the waters is a transformational process.

Crashing into our lives to effect change.

We can be dragged under,

Or let the waves carry us into new horizons. -------------
